What Does Stain Fu Work On?

All spots and stains can be classified in 4 soil categories:

  • Water-Based
  •  – Oil-Based
  •  – Water and Oil-Based
  •   Other

 – Water-Based spots and stains encompass soils that are soluble (meaning “dissolves”) with water including pet and human bodily secretions such as urine, feces, drool, semen, vomit, and blood.

Most foods and drinks are also considered Water-Based stains or spots, with the exception of cooking fats and oils.

Stain Fu is designed specifically to remove most Water-Based soils.

 – Oil-Based spots and stains are soils that are soluble (meaning “dissolves”) with solvents other than water, including grease, tar, oil, gum, paint, some types of ink, and paint.

Stain Fu may remove some Oil-Based soils like light oils and some types of ink.

 – Water and Oil-Based spots and stains are soils that are soluble (meaning “dissolves”) with water, and/or other solvents other than water. Examples include coffee, some cooking oils, and some types of inks, oils, and paints.

Stain Fu may remove some Water and Oil-Based soils like light oils and some types of ink.

 – Other spots and stains are soils that may not be soluble with water or oil, or they contain dyes or discoloring agents. Examples include Kool-Aid, mustard and turmeric, furniture stains, toilet bowl cleaner, chlorine bleach, lye, and food/drink dyes.

Please note that Stain Fu is an excellent stain and spot remover that may help with these types of stains and spots, but it is not designed to restore color, remove dyes, or dissolve heavy fats, greases, paints, or oils.
